About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for field service and technical support related to our advanced product application system. Your responsibilities will include coordinating logistics, collaborating with engineering teams, and managing on-site repairs and troubleshooting in remote rural areas. This position will be based in our Orange, NSW office and will begin as a full-time contract for six months, running from January 2025 to July 2025, with the possibility to extend into a permanent position.
Responsibilities
Field Service and Technical Support:
- Act as the single point of contact for organizing and providing field service and technical support for Loam's patented application system used for its biological products.
- Provide over-the-phone technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to the application of our products in broadacre agricultural cropping systems.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Manage warehousing and distribution logistics for our product during its first year of commercial sales.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers by coordinating with logistics providers and internal teams.
Engineering Liaison:
- Collaborate with a senior engineer and external engineering firms to address maintenance issues, operational concerns, and potential design improvements.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure product reliability and performance.
Field Visits and Repairs:
- Conduct field visits, often to remote rural locations, to perform repairs and troubleshooting on farms.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site to ensure minimal disruption to customers' operations.
Contractor Scheduling:
- Schedule and coordinate third-party contractors for the installation and repair of our systems on remote farms.
