Job title: FIELD SALES ENGINEER (FSE) – FRANCE (Lyon / South East France)

To continue & grow this mission, Samtec is currently seeking a Field Sales Engineer (FSE) for Lyon / South East France. You will be based in your home office,
Summary / Objective: The FSE will develop innovative design-wins by coupling the customer’s technical needs/application with Samtec’s product design and development capabilities. Service the customer by any and all means necessary.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Territory Sales experience with technical design-in cycle.

Engage with technology / micro-electronics and manufacturing customers across different organisational levels.
- Strong established organizational systems and appointment setting practices.

Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customer base.

Self-drive in an autonomous environment to exceed sales objectives within the territory.
- Passion for technology and B2B sales across a broad territory.

Full responsibility for turnover within the defined sales area/countries.

Acquisition of new key accounts (OEM) and the development of existing customer contacts within the electronics industry.

Management of the regional distribution partners in the different areas/countries.

Joint customer visits with distribution in your territory.

Analysis of technical and commercial customer inquiries.

Identifying technical solutions for customers with the help of the Samtec product range.

Presenting Samtec and our products at local trade fairs and customer events.

Regular reporting of sales activities to management.

Independent maintenance of customer data.
- Technical and commercial support of EMS customers in your territory.

Required Experience:

5+ Years of OEM sales experience in a technical industry is required, or equivalent and related experience.

Fluency in both French & English language is an essential requirement along with good verbal & written communication skills in both languages.
- Component sales experience in a technical industry is required.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customer base.

Be able to demonstrate exceptional follow up skills to achieve sales growth.

Knowledge in the field of electromechanics or semiconductor technology is highly desirable; detailed product training will be provided.
- Valid driving license

Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required.

Languages: Fluency in French and English is essential.
