Our Field Robotics Team at Carbon Robotics is hiring an HVAC specialist who will be our boots on the ground, working directly with the customer providing technical hands-on support. As the on-site point of contact, with the support of the teams at headquarters you’ll work to resolve the issue. You will also support our Sales organization with scheduled demos and site visits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Respond quickly to customer issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of carbon Robotics equipment
  • Respond to customer concerns and identify the issues, troubleshoot them, and work with Carbon Robotics teams to develop and implement corrective action plans
  • Conduct diagnosis and repair on HVAC equipment following safety guidelines
  • Perform operational testing of controls, safeties, shutdown, and place equipment in service
  • Support demonstration and implementation activities
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with customers and teams within Carbon Robotics
  • Working in outdoor environments

Ideal Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in brazing and soldering for copper and refrigeration lines
  • Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with residential or commercial refrigeration systems
  • Comfortable using a laptop for system diagnostics and reporting
  • Ability to troubleshoot and guide repairs over the phone when needed
  • Familiarity with refrigeration cycles, compressors, VFD's, and electronic controls
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Willingness to assist with non-HVAC tasks as needed
  • Comfortable working independently and in the field
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
  • EPA certification is preferred
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
  • Trailer towing experience preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • English literacy required
Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted.  The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.
Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$82,000$105,000 USD
