Accountabilities:
- Delivery of Production Strategy & Crop Plan agreed (Volume, Cost, Quality and Time); resource harmonization between crops and countries
- Build and lead effective seed crop Field Production function
- Develop and run according to key field management processes and procedures in seed production
- Assure effective controlling programs are in place with the right set of KPIs aiming to guarantee the operations will be kept on track towards reliability, quality and budget targets.
- Ensure production of accurate and transparent crop plans which align with global process for all crops
- Focus effort to increase yield and improve yield reliability to reduce costs and production risk
- Manage all contracts & relationships with growers, tollers with working together with Planning & support from Procurement
- Manage the stakeholders in a way of communicating the main development activities timely and accurately, avoiding last minutes surprises and crises
- Implement and keep updated all the related Functions, including crop leaders, systems and reports to assure a clear and precise information flow
- Manage and implement FP team Providing opportunities for people development aiming to allow them motivation with Syngenta and with their careers, assuring the key positions in the succession plan are populated. Professional coach and support of Employees in the E2E production activities.
- Ensure field production teams (Syngenta & third party) comply with Syngenta standards of HSE
Knowledge, experience & capabilities:
- At least 5 years experience in seed production
- Experience of team management
- Agriculture engineer with strong technical knowledge
- Fluent in English
- Hungarian mother tongue
- Knowledge of MS office
- Organization skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Quality orientation
- Good communication skills
