About the Role

It’s an exciting time to join Ogury! As the Field Marketing Manager - Japan, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's brand presence, developing and executing marketing strategies, and collaborating effectively with both local and global teams.

The Field Marketing Manager - Japan will bring a unique blend of strategic experience, tactical execution, and a proven track record in hyper-growth environments.

The core focus of your role will be to craft and implement high-impact marketing activations that transcend industry norms, while working on elevating standards and driving innovation in every facet of our marketing efforts - that will not only grab attention, but also leave a lasting impression.

This role will report into our Director of Field Marketing APAC, based in Sydney, Australia. This is a hybrid role, based out of our Tokyo office where we encourage our team to join us in office at least two days per week (or more if you'd like!).

What you will do

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of AdTech / Media in the local market, identifying key trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Collaborate seamlessly with both local and global teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of marketing strategies
  • Oversee and project manage translation process of key marketing content
  • Manage the content on Ogury's local website, hosted in Wordpress
  • Work closely with sales, product marketing, communications and other departments to integrate field marketing efforts with overall business goals
  • Drive the development and localization of marketing materials, campaigns, and messaging to resonate with the local audience while maintaining global brand consistency
  • Build and strengthen the company's brand presence
  • Implement brand-building initiatives in the local market, ensuring a consistent brand message that resonates with target audience
  • Leverage a mix of online and offline channels, including webinars, workshops, industry events, and digital advertising, to maximize brand exposure
  • Utilize data to measure the success of marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Apply insights to refine and optimize marketing strategies for maximum impact
  • Scale the brand by building clear storytelling, following a consistent and compelling narrative
  • Lead content development efforts for the region, creating engaging materials that align with the brand and resonate with the target audience

What you will bring to Ogury

  • Prior marketing experience, ideally with a focus on ad tech/SAAS or media agencies/media publishers
  • Understanding of the digital media landscape in Japan - particularly in programmatic
  • Proven track record of successfully building and scaling brands in the local market
  • Strong cross-functional experience, collaborating effectively with teams
  • Autonomous and able to work independently to drive initiatives from conception to execution
  • Experience presenting to senior business stakeholders
  • Strong connections with local trade media in Japan, along with experience in press relations and pitching to trade publications
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools
  • Experience in storytelling: drafting content that has impact 
  • Proficiency in utilizing marketing automation and analytics platforms, such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, and CRM systems, to track and measure campaign performance
  • Experience localizing global strategies and distilling them for regional impact
  • Exceptional communication skills in both Japanese and English
