THE ROLE

The Field IT Technician is an essential part of our technical team. You will oversee and manage internal and client-facing systems and hardware, ensuring everything is working as it should be at all times. Everything you do will be in alignment with the wider European IT setup, with which you may sometimes be asked to get involved. You will provide technical support to a wide range of people, over a large geographic area, ensuring that their technical requirements are met and their problems dealt with speedily and professionally. You will ensure that all IT-related tasks are completed accurately and on time, supporting other members of the team and assisting the IT Manager, Europe in resolving all IT-related challenges.

You will have a genuine interest and passion for IT. You will be incredibly organised and have a rigorous approach to your work with a meticulous eye for detail – always spotting what needs to get done. You will be used to working at pace, incredibly flexible and comfortable interacting with numerous stakeholders, both internal and external. You’ll be an expert in your understanding of key systems and able to easily spot and define problems, knowing just how to fix them quickly, professionally and with minimal impact on the operational business.  You’ll be known for your patience particularly when helping out a colleague with a technical challenge. You will thrive working as part of a passionate, busy team who love what they do.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of AXS equipment at client venue sites, primarily in Germany
  • Primary point of technical contact for the client services team to aid with any venue ticketing equipment issues.
  • Organisation and upkeep of central device management system for AXS equipment, creating and adapting management profiles as and when required.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking records for all equipment.
  • Ensure compliance of systems with all AXS IT security policies.
  • Assist with internal corporate IT activities as needed.

 

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communication of technical issues to non-technical users, in both English and German.
  • Self-motivated and proactive – must want to get stuff done and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Substantial experience providing end-user desktop support for Windows-based end-user devices, with some experience of supporting MacOS.
  • Experienced with Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory domain management, Group Policy and other key Windows administration areas, as well as virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V.
  • Solid computer networking skills including IPv4, IPv6, vLANs and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti and Meraki equipment highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with management of iOS and Android devices via MDM
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
