Traveling 40+ weeks a year! Daniels Health has an exciting opportunity for an enterprising individual ready to hit the road and engage their frequent flier program! Responsible for implementation of Daniels Health’s revolutionary Sharpsmart technology and other waste stream solutions into the clinical healthcare space, ideal candidates will be ready for extended stays at locations all over the US, managing onsite installation coordination of ongoing and upcoming hospitals.
 
Role Overview
The Field Installation Manager will spend most of their time onsite inside customer hospitals, assessing installation needs, managing teams of drillers, runners, and other support individuals, and simultaneously working with a dedicated team coordinating other upcoming opportunities. They will frequently interact with customer stakeholders, providing first class support during the transition to the Daniels Health line of engineered waste solutions. Coordinating shipments of product, depalletizing and assembling equipment, and mounting products to walls, movable carts, and other surfaces within customer facilities, the Field Installation Manager is ultimately responsible for successfully kicking off Daniels Health’s “Within the Four Walls” approach to healthcare.

What You Will Do

  • The Field Installation Manager will fulfill multiple duties including, but not limited to:
  • Assess and evaluate acute care hospitals for upcoming installations or for record updating, taking complete counts of all container locations, noting special areas and exceptions and accounting for any potential difficulties during the installation
  • Support and educate customer stakeholders on what they can expect as they transition to Daniels Health
  • Coordinate shipments and onsite logistics for storage and staging of palletized product
  • Manage relationships with third party labor resources and coordinate onsite staffing from internal and external resources
  • Manage relationships with outgoing competitor companies to ensure smooth transition for customers
  • Oversee a team of internal staff and third-party contractors while onsite, guiding and managing them to complete the installation
  • Physically assemble and install product within the healthcare environment, ensuring secure mounting solutions for all products
  • o   This requires sufficient knowledge and experience using power tools and various fasteners for surfaces including dry wall, metal, tile, plaster, stone and others
  • Build installation schedules based on the healthcare environment, considering access restrictions and hours of operations for departments, procedural areas, and accessory buildings
  • Mitigate onsite challenges, record incomplete items, and work with local resources to flexibly address remaining items post-installation
  • Obtain final signature on completion of installation and facilitate hand-off to Account Management and Field Service
  • Solo support container relocation requests and small-scale installations
  • Partner with Field Service department to support existing customer base when needs arise

Qualifications

  • Willing and able to travel 40+ weeks a year, including weekends and holidays when necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related area or 3+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Strong onsite management skills and completionist mindset
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects with many stakeholders at once
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Capable of using tools such as a drill, screwdriver, hammer, tape measure and level
  • PC, email, internet and Microsoft office skills required

Special Requirements

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Lift containers weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Push/pull wheeled transporters and/or palletized product up to approximately 1500 lbs.
  • Occasionally travel up and down staircases
  • Walking 20,000 steps or more a day
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Work in and around hospital personnel, sensitive medical equipment, and patients
  • Other Requirements:
  • Must be willing to travel by air frequently and drive often
  • Must be willing to be vaccinated per various requirements in customer facilities
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
