Field Engineer II

Our Field Engineer will assist and support the technology infrastructure for our Airports and other venues across multiple cities within their designated region. You will join a highly technical team dedicated to ensuring technology stability and reliability for our Ambassadors and members. This individual will be a customer-focused technologist who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments with the ability to problem-solve independently while thinking and working strategically as part of a larger team. The individual chosen for this role will be based out of Denver, Las Vegas, or Phoenix, and will oversee our existing and future tech operations in the division.

What you’ll do:

  • Build, maintain and support CLEAR equipment in all of our airports and venues; includes maintaining hardware, network, and software updates
  • Provide primary L2 onsite and remote support for all devices and services (e.g. laptops, mobile devices, LAN/WAN) 
  • Review, Update, and Manage individual & team ticket queue for escalated issues and provide timely troubleshooting/resolution.
  • Testing & Release Support for software deployments along with pre-release lab testing. 
  • Participate in rotating after hours on-call 
  • IT inventory management for all assigned locations, coordinating with vendors when required
  • Coordinate with and coach local CLEAR personnel on remediation of Tier 1 issues
  • Regular travel (50% or higher) between airports within region to provide onsite training, support, observations, and site auditsManage and Execute Infrastructure moves & buildsFacilitate company wide virtual & in person training efforts on field technology

How you’ll measure success:

  • Maintain operational uptime, hardware availability and readiness based within SLA
  • Maintain compliance standards by ensuring remediations of vulnerabilities, software patches, firmware versions, etc. are completed within timely manner
  • Build and maintain strong communication lines with teammates and 
  • Strong stakeholder relationships across multiple verticals

What you’re great at:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience; Technical certifications considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years working within a Service Desk or Support driven role including providing onsite and remote support.
  • 1- 2 years of work experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with MDM Solutions and Windows 10 including Group Policy, imaging, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills when working with technical and non-technical users
  • Providing exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to train and coach others on proper troubleshooting techniques
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders and finding opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to identify process improvements

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.
