Field Business Development Manager (Hospitality)

Sydney, Australia

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Field Business Development Manager to join our dedicated Lightspeed Hospitality team in Sydney. You will be responsible for the eastern suburbs of Sydney, where we have the biggest and most exciting venues!

In this role, you will generate revenue for Lightspeed through various in-person and virtual sales activities. You will be a true connector and excel in a dynamic environment. Your role will involve daily travel across Sydney's eastern suburbs to meet potential clients, establish relationships, and close deals.

If you have a background in outbound sales and experience in the hospitality industry, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals: You’ll have set revenue-based goals to meet and the autonomy to organize your days independently to reach these goals.
  • Lead Generation: Work closely with our outbound SDR team, while generating your own pipeline, via cold calling and networking.
  • In-person Sales: You'll be selling in person, going door-to-door, and interacting with customers daily.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. Leverage our tech stack, including Aircall, Salesforce, Zoom, Gong, Looker, and G Suite (no prior experience with these tools required).
  • Client Meetings: Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with potential clients, deliver compelling presentations, and close sales.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Lightspeed’s products to effectively communicate their benefits and value proposition.

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Proven track record in sales, particularly with outbound activities, including cold calling and meeting sales quotas.
  • Ability to manage the entire sales process and generate leads independently. Ideally you will be utilising your hospitality network to create new business opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of consultative, solution-based sales both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workday to achieve goals.
  • Tech savvy, and comfortable using various sales and communication tools.

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re unsure that you have the right profile for the role... hit the ‘Apply’ button and give it a try!

What’s in it for you?

Come live the Lightspeed experience...

  • Ability to do your job in a truly flexible environment;
  • Genuine career opportunities in a company that’s creating new jobs everyday;
