Planet Technologies is looking for a hungry Account Manager to drive Professional Services sales opportunities within our Federal clients. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of Federal contracting and be comfortable prospecting, developing and closing new opportunities. Experience building upon preexisting relationships, cross selling within the current customer base, cold calling, and attending industry conferences is required along with the ability to develop and close net new revenue opportunities.
The responsibility of the Federal Account Manager role is to prospect, develop, & close opportunities that deliver Professional Services focusing the integration, delivery, and deployment of Microsoft technology solutions which enable outcomes for Federal Civilian customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead account planning and strategy resulting in revenue growth from driving professional services focusing the integration, delivery, and deployment of Microsoft Technology within the US Government Federal Civilian market.
- Build new customer and partner relationships within assigned territory by cold calling, leveraging preexisting relationships, cross selling within customer base and attending industry conferences.
- Meet or exceed revenue & core priority targets, executing in accordance with prescribed Planet methods, processes, and tools.
- Develop and leverage existing sales plays prioritized by the Planet leadership and your knowledge to identify and address your customer’s needs.
- Accurately manage pipeline and forecast on time and on target revenue.
- Prospect, qualify, drive & close opportunities.
- Employ strong collaboration skills to deliver excellence.
- Develop, maintain, and grow customer and key partner relationships including with customers, Microsoft Account team and key partners.
- Assist in the identification, development and prompt delivery of SOWs and RFX opportunities.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, managing, escalating, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success through established internal processes.
Skills Required
- Proven sales success and expertise in selling Professional Services solutions to the Federal Government
- Industry knowledge, ideally with experience in the Federal Civilian Market
- Previous experience prospecting by building upon preexisting relationships, cross selling within the current customer base, cold calling, and attending industry conferences.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft solutions is essential to success and understanding of the Microsoft Sales Processes is helpful.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a Federal Market
- Previous experience working within recognized sales methods, processes, and tools.
- Bachelor’s Degree and Sales background is essential, with 3+ years of technology-related Sales experience critical to success
- Ability to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events.
