ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for sorting and removal of culls, foreign matter, unhusked nuts, etc. 
  • Assiststhe Factory Operators upon request. 
  • Must be able to lift at least twenty-five (25)pounds unassisted. 
  • Cleans and sanitizes factory equipment and surrounding areas as directed
  •  Performs simple disassembly and reassembly of equipment as needed to perform cleaning duties. 
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing. 
  • Follows all company safety standards and procedures. 
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. 
  • Must be able to work night shifts and extended daily work hours. 
  • Regular attendance is required for the position. 

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to follow verbal/written instructions. 
  • Previous experience in a factory environment preferred. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Seldom: Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting,kneeling,  climbing, crouching, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling  >25 lbs. 
  • Occasional:  Standing, walking, finger dexterity. 
  • Frequent:  Wristmovement,  lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.  
  • Constant:  Sitting, must be able to see in color, depth perception,  repetitive motion.  

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and co-workers. 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, receive verbal and written instruction, and apply basic math skills.

  • Exposure to noise (85+ dB).
