Janes is searching for a full-time Facility Security Officer to join the Operations team based in our Arlington, VA office. Reporting to the President Janes Group US, this role will play a key part in helping with security clearance compliance matters.
• Responsible for the administration of Jane's Group US LLC's FCL with FOCI mitigation (a Special Security Arrangement SSA), working with DCSA, other government agencies, Jane's Group US LLC colleagues, and the parent company Janes Group UK.
• Ensure that Jane's Group US LLC can operate as an entity holding and sponsoring clearances by building and executing the series of plans to operate effectively and within the guidelines of DCSA.
• Provide day-to-day management of personnel and physical security programs for Jane's Group US LLC
• Work with DCSA and Janes Group US to ensure that our policy and procedures are in compliance with government and Company requirements in conjunction with Jane's Group US LLC standards
• Daily execution of compliance across personnel and physical security programs within a given USG accredited facility.
• Design & administer company programs for handling and safeguarding classified and proprietary information
• Lead the process for tracking and reporting to the U.S. government on personnel, facility, and insider threat matters
• Coordinate with government and industry oversight agencies to facilitate inspections/audits of security programs and systems.
• Serve as the security liaison to the Government Security Committee comprised of our Outside Directors both for the execution of day-to-day security related operations and for the regular review/reporting on our security program
• Conduct mandatory USG reporting as it relates to our personnel, facility, and insider threat programs.
• Arbitrate policy and processes around personnel, clearances, and our facilities.
• Investigate security violations and prepare reports detailing procedures to preclude future occurrences.
• Operate and optimize complex collateral, SCI, and SAP clearance application and collateral reinvestigation pipelines in order to grow and maintain Jane's Group US LLC's cleared workforce at pace with our USG business.
Requirements
• Experience working in a FOCI environment with DCSA
• Active U.S. DoD Top Secret or active Secret clearance, with eligibility and willingness to obtain a TS or TS/SCI.
• Understanding of both IC and DoD clearance requirements and systems
• Effective communication with a customer service-oriented mindset.
• 3+ years’ experience in an FSO capacity, possessing facility preferred.
• Expertise in navigating DISS, SWFT, e-QIP, ACCS and similar USG systems.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a willingness to contribute across additional critical, cross-team functions and projects.
• Demonstrated capability to think creatively and act proactively, and develop strategies and processes that maintain a strong security posture while enabling business outcomes
• This role is expected to work on-site at the Jane's Group US LLC Arlington, Virginia office during business hours Monday-Thursday and have the ability to be present onsite within a 60-minute response time, with potential on call duties during after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
