WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for those who will develop, launch and ever-evolve the power and energy services that are safe, secure, flexible and convenient for people living, working or visiting in Woven City. Energy team plays critical roles in providing next-level city infrastructure and enabling enhanced user experiences of other services in Woven City. You'll be responsible for building strategically significant experiences and creating solutions that solve real-life problems.
You will report to the lead of function, and this job's workplace type is hybrid (office and remote).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the operation and maintenance of the prescribed onsite transmission and distribution facilities following laws and regulations, and to maximize the value of the energy resources concerned.
Build operational capacity towards the establishment of DER aggregation and management technology for the maximum utilization of renewable energies, and enhance its implementation.
Work with the power operation team and others to help implement energy management on and off site through the facility operation.
Conclude and implement relevant contracts with external parties, and implement necessary licensing and approval relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years or more of practical experience related to the above
Self-starter and service-oriented person who could look for ways to help people
Integrity and Customer Focus with Flexibility in a fast speed environment
Collaborative business style to bring multiple parties together to resolve an issue
Willing to train, coach, supervise, and motivate the team members
Daily level English and business level Japanese proficiency.
NICE TO HAVES
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Japan Chief Electrical Engineer (ECEE), Japan Qualified Person for Energy Management (ECCJ), or other certification.
Knowledge of electrical, energy and communication system standards and laws (grid interconnection regulations, technical standards for electrical equipment, IEC, communication protocols)
MBA or another advanced degree preferred, if any.
Knowledge of Japanese energy markets including energy services business such as ancillary services / capacity market. US/Europe experience and knowledge on the power market.
