Facility Manager, Richcraft Sensplex

Richcraft Sensplex is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to ensure the efficient operations and maintenance of the Richcraft Sensplex.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the Richcraft Sensplex including building maintenance, equipment maintenance and ensure the safe operating of the building HVAC system and electrical systems, refrigeration room, sound systems and Fire safety equipment and BAS systems
  • Provide leadership to the facility operations team through mentoring and training.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll and performance evaluations and creating standard operating policies.
  • Diagnosing and identifying facility operational problems and taking prompt, appropriate action to correct or minimize and disruption to our operations.
  • Works with Director on various tasks including budget, staff recruitment.
  • Ensures that all security measures, policies and health and safety policies are followed.
  • Responds to inquiries from the public, staff, contractors, and user groups.
  • Participate on committees to assist with event details and other special requirements.
  • Ensure the Richcraft Sensplex is in compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of equipment, furniture, and supplies.
  • Responsible to define, document, communicate and educate all policies to staff to ensure the safety of all staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Sensplex Facilities

Requirements

Key Competencies

  • 5-7 years' experience in recreation facility management.
  • Basic Refrigeration Certificate from the ORFA is an asset.
  • CIT designation from the ORFA is an asset.
  • Thorough working knowledge of recreation facility maintenance, arena plant operations, ice making procedures, HVAC systems and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Proven skills in public relations, customer service, interpersonal skills, project/time management and analytical problem solving.
  • Able to communicate effectively, professionally and courteously with all levels of staff, external contacts and the general public.
  • Able to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies, and the public.
  • Available to work flexible hours.
  • Possess a valid class G license in good standing.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (Over 40lbs)
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
