A partner is seeking a Facilities Technician for a position in Plymouth, MI. The role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing fields. It also entails coordinating with vendors, ensuring safety, and supporting workspace changes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with vendors and oversee general maintenance of all properties.
- Perform electrical work, basic plumbing, light bulb replacement, exterior cleaning, trash pickup, and facility cleanup.
- Assist in setting up advertising and merchandising displays.
- Serve as a first responder for building issues outside normal business hours.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance and construction projects.
- Supervise security-related tests and maintenance.
- Order and distribute materials for facility maintenance.
- Maintain facilities database and assist in Business Continuity Plan matters.
- Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of facility maintenance experience in small to medium-sized office buildings.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use standard tools.
- Ability to pass motor vehicle check annually.
- Ability to read and interpret facility operation-related documents.
- Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills.
Preferred:
- 1 year certificate from college or technical school in a facility-related discipline
- experience with vendor oversight
- 2 years of facility maintenance experience
- knowledge of safety measures
- proficiency in Excel and Word.
