The Facilities Technician is responsible for a variety of maintenance and coordination activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of buildings, systems, and large equipment. This position functions as the primary resource regarding maintenance, rental properties, building equipment, systems, and operations. This person ensures that progressive, strategic improvements are being identified and executed to prevent chronic issues from becoming critical events. As Facilities Technician, this role ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of our physical workspaces and is responsible for a variety of tasks related to building systems, equipment, and general facility upkeep.
Salary Range: $38,000 - $40,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours if necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
- Identify enhancements to ensure compliance with regulations, codes, or best practices.
- Maintain a list of reported deficiencies, potential solutions, corrective action steps, actual costs, contacts, and projected versus actual completion dates for the primary Bethel Music facility and adjacent facilities owned by Bethel Music.
- Engage appropriate Bethel support teams as needed: IT, maintenance, custodial, security, etc.
- Assist with the efficient turnover process (cleaning and repairs) to maximize bookings of short-term rentals.
- Minimize building system business interruptions, particularly due to preventable and/or foreseeable failures.
- Perform routine upward reporting.
- Execute project budgeting and coinciding strategic communication with staff and impacted parties.
- Respond to requests in a timely fashion (at least 24 hours) regardless of weekends/holidays.
