Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Development you should be a proactive individual with high personal standards that reflect in the facilities you manage. The facility manager will be responsible for managing RedMart’s facilities matters, includes offices, warehouse and other related facilities.
Job Purpose
To ensure that all office and warehouse facilities are managed to provide a safe, clean and well maintained environment for staff and visitors in a cost effective way.
In house expert on health and safety setting the standard and monitoring to ensure Redmart fulfills its statutory obligations and drives towards a zero accident workplace.
Scope and Responsibilities
- Implements controls and assist on complying to local building regulations, especially on Workplace Safety & Health Act for offices and warehouses
- Set up a programme of planned and preventative maintenance to ensure high availability of all equipment and facilities inline with operational requirements
- Identify, select, and engage service providers for all aspects of facilities management; cleaning, pest control, maintenance, waste disposal etc (maintain & expand)
- Establish service level agreements to contractors and monitor performance against these, formally review on a regular basis
- Checks that agreed work by contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follows up on any deficiencies
- Work closely with finance department to set and control facilities budget and benchmark to ensure we are getting value for money
- Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise (inside or outside of office hours)
- Coordinate and engage with government departments as and when required and ensure that all issues are satisfactorily resolved
- Work closely with various stakeholders on office related facilities
- Monitoring energy usage and finding ways to reduce consumption
Skills and Competencies
- Experienced facility manager who has successfully operated within a multi-site environment, office & logistics industries
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Singaporean WSHA legislation and how to implement in both warehouse and office
- Knowledge of best practice and how to apply that in a cost effective way
- Detail conscious, service oriented, friendly, professional and a solid team player
- Desire to learn, seek new challenges and take on additional responsibilities, ability to excel in change management and dynamic work, face paced environment
- Common sense approach with the ability to solve practical problems
- People oriented, good man manager, with ability to get the best out of people
- High sense of responsibility and self-motivation
- Proactive identifies issues and finds solutions rather than waiting to be told.
