Facilities Manager

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Facilities Manager to join our team at Kepak Merthyr and contribute to our continued success.

We are looking for a highly motivated engineering expert, to work on a wide variety of equipment implementing CI improvements and driving site compliance.

In this role, you will effectively manage the site facilities function implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulation, including accountabilities for refrigeration, site statutory compliance, energy, effluent, FWT and associated electrical testing and day to day management of the contractors. Your exceptional organizational skills and strong problem-solving abilities will be key in identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

You will be responsible for optimizing preventative maintenance schedules and delivering detailed reports to the senior management team. The ideal candidate will be relentless in ensuring continuous improvement projects are delivered and CI methodologies are applied to the operational function.

Requirements

  • Services back-ground / facilities experience
  • CI experience
  • Use of Lean Manufacturing techniques 
  • Multi-skilled apprenticeship
  • Electrical/Mechanical qualification, HNC  
  • FMCG experience
  • PC competent
  • Significant Trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
  • PLC program structure and operational awareness desirable
  • 18th Edition Trained advantageous
