Primary Function of Position
- Reporting to the Facilities Operations Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining workspaces in top condition by performing general maintenance tasks.
- Directly support the moves, additions, and changes of users and workspaces across all facilities
- With the support of the Facilities Maintenance Operation Supervisor, coordinate with subcontractors to execute the work required to support changes in the layout of office spaces, meeting rooms, and support spaces.
Essential Job Duties
- Regularly inspect all workspaces, including offices, meeting rooms, and production areas, for general repair needs. Create and self-assign tickets to perform repairs. Activities include, but are not limited to wall repair, painting, floor tiling, carpeting, ceiling work, signing, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
- Assist with the moves, additions, and changes of users and workspaces by performing tasks according to Space Planning requirements.
- Coordinate with civil subcontractors, as necessary, to execute civil works and general repairs.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and environmental procedures, guidelines, and codes while performing daily duties, and ensure that all subcontractors under supervision also comply.
- Support the maintenance activities of facilities equipment as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5 to 8 years of general maintenance experience in the medical or food manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in the following trades: gypsum wall repairs, epoxy and general painting, vinyl tile repair and installation, ceiling tiles repair and installation, welding, plumbing, door and window hardware repair and installation.
- Highly skilled in the use of general shop tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Ability to operate lift vehicles and forklifts.
- Knowledge of fire systems and detection, compressed air systems, clean room operation and maintenance, low voltage electricity repairs, and fire brigade operations.
Required Education and Training
- High school diploma.
- Maintenance tech diploma (preferred).
Working Conditions
- Able to work under the following conditions but not limited to walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, working on confined spaces or heights, noisy and dusty environments.
- Capable of using personal protective equipment for extended periods: Including hard hats, steel-toe boots, safety vest, life harnesses, dust masks, etc.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience working in highly regulated medical manufacturing companies.
- Knowledge in technical reading in English, at a level of 50%.
