Facilities Engineer

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer. The selected candidate will provide a broad range of facility engineering support across SRC’s local and regional offices.  
 
What You’ll Do
 
  • Project design, management, construction, and property administration
  • Collaborate with internal customers to support operational and R&D requirements including layout, design and developing cost estimates
  • Adapt to a growth environment and ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail
  • Work independently but also be a strong team player with customer service orientation and positive outlook
  • Develop and execute requirements related to facilities project, operations and manufacturing projects
  • Management of capital projects, including providing direction and technical coordination to contractors and vendors to ensure quality of work and completion within allocated budget and time frames
  • Solve problems using creative skills and taking ideas from concept to design
  • Operation and maintenance management and safety leadership
  • Support maintenance operations including participating in 24x7x365 on-call, facility coverage
  • Participates in projects involving building maintenance, repairs, and improvements 
What You’ll Bring
 
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management with 10 or more years of progressive experience in facility operations, design, and construction support or any combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including strong customer focus/orientation, decision making, communication and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Progressive experience in facility planning, design layout and project management
  • Experience performing work under minimal supervision and address facility issues and problems
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Visio. CAD skills, ability to update and create engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Visio is desired
  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude and working knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical and plumbing
  • Design experience and ability to develop detailed scope of work for facility projects.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of all applicable building, safety, and construction codes
  • A facility support aptitude to adapt to several of “whatever it takes” situations
  • Ability to lift to 45 pounds and work off ladders and high places, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Travel up to 20%

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $114,000 to $133,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
