Position: Facilities Drafter – Document Control Specialist
Location: Global Facilities Engineering - Corporate Headquarters, Easton, PA
About the job:
The Facilities Drafter– Document Control Specialist is responsible for the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and other construction documents necessary to support projects managed by the Facilities Engineering department. The specialist is also responsible for the management of facility records, including but not limited to: maintaining and keeping current all site and plant drawings, project and drawing file directories and tracking of inbound and outbound facility documents.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepares drawings, layouts, sketches, and other forms of data presentation as required.

Updates and keeps current all site and plant layout drawings, directories, and associated files as required.

Maintains electronic system files, records, information, facility directory, drafting standards, etc. on a regular and timely basis in accordance with the Company Documentation Retention Policy.

Maintains, follows, and improves upon the document control policies and procedures and drafting standards.

Assists Facilities Engineers with expansions or alterations of existing facilities, and the building of new facilities. Assist with other tasks when applicable.

Interfaces and assists other Engineering Departments, Manufacturing personnel, both local and globally, to support, improve and document production processes or operations of all Victaulic Facilities.

Manages small projects from defining requirements to execution with assistance from the Facilities Team members.

Completes all projects, as assigned, on a timely basis and within established budgets.
Qualifications: (education, experience/skills, personal attributes):
Education:
Associate degree – minimum in drafting technology. Architectural/Engineering disciplines are preferred. Other technical degree may be considered with applicable experience.
Experience/Skills:
Essential:

3-5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, specifically for Architectural, Structural and MEP Systems. Rendering or 3D experience desirable.

Ability to read, interpret and create drawings and specifications using computer systems and equipment, following Facilities Engineering Drafting Standards.

Must have well developed organization with both written and verbal communication skills.

Experience and proficiency in the following computer software programs: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel.

Desired: SolidWorks, Revit, Data base programs, Project management tools (MS Project)

Knowledge of construction materials & methods.
