Reporting to the Team Lead Facilities, Teck Digital Systems, the Facilities Analyst is responsible for supporting and improving Teck’s data centers, implementing new standards and ensuring efficient uptime as these data centers are the central nervous system for all enterprise data.
Working closely with other operations and teams to facilitate data center operational excellence, this outstanding individual will implement monitoring solutions alongside solve and provide design standards for future developments of data centers and IDF’s. We are looking for an agile, keen and hands-on individual who can actively assist the team to solve larger problems. This individual is an executor and exists as the visionary force behind the technical solution!

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Consult and work closely with various business partners to develop, craft and maintain data center systems
- Develop, implement and manage maintenance plan schedules, providing rotational after hours facility support for all of our enterprise operations
- Coordinate & supervise vendor access for site service calls
- Mentor project teams on DC design and deployment strategies
- Deploy, support, and optimize highly scalable, fault tolerant data centers
- Optimize new and already provisioned solutions for availability, scalability, security and cost
- Drive the adoption of validated solution templates across the organization
- Challenge the status quo and seek new and better ways of solving technical problems
Qualifications:
- Experience with data center operations support and design
- Good understanding of data center technologies, specifically electrical, cooling, space, and requests for moves
- Experience with installing physical servers/storage, networking hardware and cabling of new systems
- Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
- Passionate about trying new solutions outside standard approved
- The ability to lead technical customer engagements
- Excellent problem solving skills in resolving issues with sophisticated data systems
- Superb attention to detail and proven strong analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the capacity to effectively communicate within a distributed team as well as other groups throughout all levels of the organization
