Job Summary:
This position is located at our Justin, Texas location and is responsible for leading the completion of projects set by a set deadlines to uphold business initiatives. Responsible for the planning, purchasing and managing of supply points and/or product lines and their respective suppliers/ vendors while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently planning, purchasing, and managing of the assigned supply points and/or product lines and their respective suppliers to deliver finished products to the customer and maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Creating long- and short-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Adjusting schedules and targets on projects as needs for the project change.
- Reviews open customer orders and utilizes shop and equipment capacities to determine manufacturing facility alongside Operations Manager.
- Work closely with other fabrication buyer/planners to ensure that kanbans are triggered to appropriate fab manufacturing locations while working with Operations Manager to determine scheduling requirements for each facility.
- Coordinate meetings with other departments on large capacity orders.
- Manage material in house for large capacity orders.
- Facilitate part code approval, routers and lead time requests for each facility.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory of all locations. Determine stocking levels based off usage.
- Knows how to resolve problems and discrepancies with quality, delivery dates, quantity, and invoicing of purchased commodities.

- Can manage tactical duties with Suppliers and report out on Supplier Performance.
- Appraise vendors’ performance based on metrics such as on time delivery, accuracy and quality of material and owns the tactical day to day supplier relationship.
- Participate in and use Quality Improvement Process in resolving problems in the work environment.
Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Personal Attributes)
- Minimum Associates Degree (2yr)
- AS400/ Profound preferred but not required
- Minimum internship or co-op experience in Purchasing, Material Control, Manufacturing planning or Project Management
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability
- Customer Service driven
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be goal and detail oriented, reliable, self-motivated, and able to multi-task effectively
- Good organizational and analytical problem-solving skills required.
