At Movement Schools we not only want our students to thrive academically but to provide them with a broad range of enrichment opportunities. We believe that physical education, arts, and other activities are a vital part of students' school experience and are a necessary part of our scholars' development. Movement Schools is seeking contract specialists for the 2024-2025 school year.
Contractors should be available the following hours: Monday - Thursday 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Movement School Bridge View is currently serving students in kindergarten and first grade. One additional grade will be added each year.
Rates:
Professional Development Rate
*This includes summer professional development and Friday professional development$20/Hour/Employee
Service Rate During Academic Calendar $45/Hour/Employee
*Please note this rate reflects access to curriculum and lesson plans that may be proprietary to the specialist we are contracting with. Additional fees for curriculum will not be paid. Movement School will purchase needed materials for students. Materials purchased by Movement School will remain the property of Movement School Bridge View.
*Organizations/Contractors do have the ability to earn an end of year merit stipend based on attendance, alignment with schools vision and goals, meeting quarterly outcomes, and having no contract violation notices.
Dates of Service:
Pre-Service Staff Training - July 11, 2024 - August 7, 2024
*PD dates and times will be predetermined. Specialists will not attend all days or sessions as PD will be assigned as needed and as applied.
Academic Calendar - August 9, 2024 - June 5, 2025

- Students complete quarterly projects/showcases aligned with content and grade
- Build classroom community by partnering with staff and families to facilitate children’s academic success and continued growth in content. This is achieved by knowing school-wide and student data, communicating with staff and families about your content and projects, and celebrating students' growth and performance.
- Design and implement instruction that is aligned with the grade and content assigned.
- Develop daily plans that increase students.
- Exemplify Movement’s virtues in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
- Incorporate Movement's virtues into lessons.
Professional learning, development and growth
- Complete all onboarding training.
- Collaborate with grade-level lead and school team to improve instructional, culture-building, and leadership skills.
- Attend professional development as assigned.
- Participate enthusiastically in structured and informal learning and development opportunities.
- Participate in quarterly reflections and reviews

Once proposals are received they will be reviewed by the leadership team. Proposals will be reviewed for completeness, alignment with Movement's mission, current student needs, and variety being offered. All applicants will be notified via email if their proposal will be moving forward for contracting or if it has been rejected.
