Expression of Interest - Offshore Wind Engineering (Staff & Associate)

Base Location: Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Orkney, London or Offshore (as required)

Business Unit: Part of Xodus Group, Evolv Energies is at the forefront of major international projects where we bring a unique, integrated perspective and specialist engineering expertise to support offshore developers, investors and the wider construction and installation supply chain through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design, and across Construction and Installation activities, predominately in relation to offshore wind, interconnectors and energy transition projects.

Role: Due to ongoing and longer term project commitments, we are looking for Engineers to work on a variety of offshore wind and power transmission projects focusing on subsea cable installation and T&I (Monopiles & TPs) scopes. Sitting within the Engineering, Projects team or seconded to our clients, you will be accountable for engineering deliverables to projects and tenders within your respective engineering discipline. The role is office based however, there will be opportunity for some offshore and site based works also.

  • Electrical & Power Systems Engineering
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Offshore (including subsea) Construction & Installation

 

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Provision of multidisciplined engineering expertise to support our engineering and construction services projects.
  • Prepare and deliver multidisciplined engineering input to tenders and projects.
  • Produce technical documents, including designs, calculations, reports, and specifications.
  • Ensuring engineering deliverables are in accordance with both Evolv Energies and Client requirements whilst equally ensuring quality assurance throughout.
  • Working effectively on several projects concurrently to deliver challenging targets.
  • Working collaboratively and proactively with our multi-disciplined engineering and project delivery teams.

Role Requirements include:

  • A hands on approach, with a can do attitude and willingness work with a team at all levels.
  • Have demonstrable offshore wind, subsea cables (transmission and distribution) and energy transition experience or clear transferable skills from other sectors.
  • A keen interest in offshore wind and energy transition projects.
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards) with demonstrable engineering expertise in the offshore energy sector and with a detailed understanding of engineering deliverables through Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design and across Construction and Installation activities.
  • Proactive attitude towards HSEQ with knowledge of CDM for UK projects.
  • Have an interest to actively develop external and internal (Xodus & Subsea7 Group) relationships.
