What is Expert Product - Card Issuing?
As an Expert Product for Card Issuing at JazzCash, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our debit card portfolio. Your primary focus will be developing strategies to drive customer acquisition, enhance customer engagement, and maximize profitability. Your role involves understanding user needs, collaborating with product development team, aligning with stakeholders, and driving the product vision to deliver a seamless and innovative debit card experience.
This position reports to the Product Manager – Payment Gateway at JazzCash.
What does Expert Product - Card Issuing do?
- Monitor the performance of the card portfolio, including key metrics such as activation rates, usage, customer retention, and revenue.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new card products and features, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and market demand.
- You will oversee the payment lifecycle end to end:
- Working and negotiating with the international and domestic card schemes
- Leading developments and integrations with payment processors
- Responsible for complete portfolio management, from card issuance to activation & driving usage
- Work closely with product development teams to define and enhance JazzCash’s card product features and benefits.
- Manage relationships with payment processors, card manufacturers, and other third-party vendors to ensure the efficient operation of the product.
- Determine the right prioritization using mostly quantitative (and to some degree qualitative) insights
- Identify ongoing scalability and operational improvements to set the product up for success in this high growth industry
- Identify new opportunities and take a segmented approach to cater to different customers with unique yet targeted value propositions
- Establish metrics, processes, and dashboards for monitoring and evaluation of the success of new and existing functionality

Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Product - Card Issuing?
- 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the card issuing business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of payment processing & working together with payment schemes like Visa & Mastercard (preferably experience on the issuing side).
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end product lifecycles and successful product launches.
- Ability to gather insights, conduct market research, and perform competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Ensuring faster market penetration & growth – resulting in greater volumes processed through our platforms.
