What is Expert Inland Logistics?

The Expert Inland Logistics is responsible for ensuring end to end process and performance consistency for all inland logistics services provided for the goods shipped from the warehouse/sites to destination sites/warehouses. The role will also work proactively with various internal and external stakeholders to take the lead in the design, development, execution and performance of the inland logistics activities enabling the Jazz to achieve the network rollout and maintenance targets at optimized transport & logistics service levels and costs. Furthermore, the role will support the Manager Operative Logistics in defining the overall strategic road map for logistics and for creating and implementing best practices.

The role reports directly to the Manager Operative Logistics and has no people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 12 team members.

What does Expert Inland Logistics do?

  • Drive and manage the smooth execution of all transportation activities from nationwide warehouses/sites to destination warehouse/site and to ensure that the defined logistics SOPs & KPI’s are followed diligently by the 3PL & OEM partners.
  • Proactively evaluate the performance and execution of the end-to-end inland transportation activities across different regions with different transport modes and provide an executive summary to Management where issues, process development or re-engineering is needed.
  • Establish continuous improvement process/performance reviews with the 3PL & OEM partners, transporters and lead to drive operational efficiency related to transport logistics.
  • Set-up and maintain effective communication, collaboration and relationship between internal stake holders, 3PL & OEM partners.
  • Ensure awareness of all logistics market developments. Collect market information and share to enable the team to take pro-active actions to minimize/mitigate risk of delivery delays.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company code of conduct in the responsible cluster.
  • Work in partnership with the 3PL and review, translate the inland logistics strategy (SCM/Sourcing in Particular) and define a continuous improvement road map in alignment with budgeting & planning functions within Jazz and execute accordingly.
  • Ensure that process requirements and service deliverables are documented in Standard Operating Procedures and/or Service Level Agreements with respective stakeholders and ensure that the agreed processes and service are implemented and executed successfully in the day-to-day operations and within the scope of contractual agreements.
  • Keep track of partners payments related to inland logistics and make sure to process them as per agreed payment terms.
  • Support Manager Operative Logistics in day to day activities related to International Logistics.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on inland logistic performance, transportation activities, and related metrics to support decision-making and to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Business/Finance. Candidates having Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CLT) will be given preference.
  • Strong knowledge of 3PL operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with local regulations & law related to inland logistics operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and drive performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software and BI analytical tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
