Expert Data Governor

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance program, including data strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure data governance initiatives align with business objectives.
• Oversee the data quality management program, including data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring processes.
• Develop and maintain data lineage and ownership models to ensure data traceability.
• Implement data security controls and access management processes to safeguard data assets.
• Champion data governance awareness and education across the organization.
• Develop and maintain a data governance framework, including roles and responsibilities for data stewardship.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the data governance program and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT on data architecture, infrastructure, and technology solutions to support data governance initiatives.
• Stay abreast of evolving data governance best practices and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in data governance
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Strong knowledge of data governance tools, technologies, and best practices, including data architecture, data quality, data dictionary, data privacy, and data lineage
