Vets4Pets was established in 1972 and operates Monday through to Saturday at several of our 7 sites, and Sunday at our Golden Grove hospital .
We aim to provide the best in animal care whilst providing a friendly environment for both patients & their owners.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.
- Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own.
- Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital and kennel areas at all times.
- Assist with reception and administration tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Currently holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Bachelor of Vet Technology (preferred - but not essential), OR,
- is currently studying one of the above, or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has clinical experience >6 months
- Ability to work well and multitask under pressure in a high-volume, busy clinic environment.
- A keen desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and customer service at all times.
- Excellent general computer literacy
- RX works experience preferred but not essential
- Experience using Idexx VetLab station, Catalyst and Procyte DX equipment preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A genuine love for animals and their people.
