We are seeking committed and passionate After School Program Assistant to design and/or lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our Expanded Learning Program. Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in a K-12 setting
- Available Monday - Friday, 25 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
- Commitment to social justice, youth leadership and development
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines

- Commitment to a full school year
- Commitment to participate in professional development
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Coordinator in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the program at the school site
- Support program coordinator in supervision and safety of the program
- Help schedule and participate in meetings with students, parents, teachers and after school providers
- Create marketing materials and weekly program recaps for key community stakeholders
- Document events and capture photos during program hours
- Co-lead a student/teacher advisory for high schoolers on site
- Teach and assist with workforce development opportunities including an upcoming Drivers Education class after school
- Organize and lead monthly field trips in the area
- Visit local retail centers to ask for donations as needed
- Potential opportunity to work additional hours during summer and school breaks
- Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
- Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus
- Be available Monday-Friday from 1pm to 6pm
- Help schedule and participate in meetings with students, parents, day school staff and after school contractors
- Assist with creating marketing materials and writing weekly program recaps
- Assist with documenting program events and capturing photos during program hours
- Assist with leading Life Academy’s High School Civic Engagement Leadership Committee during Expanded Learning Hours
- Assist with budget management and program planning as needed
- Assist with program planning and attending field trips as needed
