The Organization: 
Edelman’s continued evolution as the leading communications consultancy will require paramount focus on product development (technology and services) that leverages data and AI to transform its own and its client’s businesses. To achieve this vision, Edelman is building a critical new AI driven division that consists of four primary departments. Each department has a specific role and responsibility in the development, delivery and deployment of AI and data solutions across Edelman and the communications industry. This leadership role will head our GTM organization, one of the four key pillars. 

GTM is the department that is responsible for the product marketing, delivery and enablement of Trust Stream and other AI and data solutions that Edelman provides. This department handles the competitive product positioning and partners with Edelman’s marketing organization for branding and PR of Trust Stream and other products. GTM manages the deployment, enablement and training of Edelman's and its clients' teams on how to use and benefit from the AI and data solutions. GTM also spearheads the business development, sourcing and negotiating with new data, software, and AI partners. GTM is led by a new EVP, who supervises a team of product marketers, customer success employees, solutions specialists, and enablers. GTM closely partners with Technology, Product Management, and Product Strategy/Consulting to ensure the demand and satisfaction of the AI and data solutions. 

The Role: 
We are seeking a visionary strategist, connector, and results-driven EVP to lead our efforts in partnership with our clients and teams to shape the future of AI, data, and software in the efforts of communicators worldwide. 
You will be responsible for working internally and externally to drive the positioning, adoption and success of AI solutions across all critical organizations at Edelman, as well as at Edelman’s clients. Critically, you shall oversee the negotiation and onboarding for all the 3rd party offerings Edelman will deliver to clients (from 101’s to technology vendor recommendations to actual AI transformation exercises/deployments).

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive internal and external strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and goals in how we deliver new AI driven solutions throughout Edelman and at our clients. 
  • Tactical Leadership: Design, recruit and oversee a cross-functional team of product marketers, business development professionals, enablers and solutions specialists to work with departments as disparate as finance, strategy, and healthcare to guide their evolution. Work with these teams to successfully deploy AI at the core of Edelman’s internal efforts through client delivery and on into our clients. 
  • Product Marketing: Analyze the entirety of the market landscape surrounding Edelman’s evolution. Understand how the firm can differentiate itself through AI driven solutions. Position the solutions and lead new product pricing exploration on behalf of Edelman. 
  • Business Development: Negotiate with identified 3rd party data and solutions providers as well as partner with Product Strategy to negotiate deliveries to clients. 
  • Enablement: Shepherd a team of training and customer success specialists who will ensure the widespread adoption and success of Edelman’s flagship Trust Stream Solution as well as new offerings developed internally and procured externally. 
  • Client Delivery: Oversee directly and indirectly (dependent upon situation) Edelman solutions provided to clients on a paid and unpaid basis. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize efforts and ensure a seamless design and delivery cycle internally and externally. 
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of GTM initiatives at the enterprise level. Regularly analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and iterate strategies. 
  • Leadership and Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in senior leadership roles within the software industry, with a focus on GTM strategy and initiatives, integrated media strategy and business development. 
  • 2+ years focus on the inclusion of AI in the work of communicators. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing AI related new product initiatives. 
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends, market participants, and emerging technologies. 
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders. 
  • A visionary leader with a passion for communications, AI and new product development.
