To create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
Updating fixed assets in compliance with company policy and accounting. Assigning tag numbers to fixed assets.
To record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
Tracking the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
To calculate, validate depreciation calculation for all fixed assets with providing the analysis.
Investigating the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
Conducting periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
Conducting periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
Supporting month-end closing process in fixed assets related matters.
To prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
Tracking company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
• At least Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in account receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Oracle in a manufacturing environment will have an added advantage.
• Strong data analysis skill and detail oriented.
• Self-initiative and motivated and is adaptive to changes and demand.
• Good communication skills and fluent communication and writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
