JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented and initiative-taking Events Industry Business Analyst (BA) who will operate as part of a centralized team within a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will join the CST Business Analysis team, which is responsible for Business and Systems analysis as well as back-office technologies servicing Informa Markets’ offerings in Events Operations, Hotel, Registration, Event Technology, Customer Service, Media, Research and Training. The BA will be expected to present concepts and specifications to key internal stakeholders and obtain project estimates, which will then be relayed to delivery directors or managers. They will contribute to analyzing business needs and identifying requirements, validate compliance of business requirements in quality assurance, and business acceptance. The BA will be central to ensuring team capacity, identifying, and implementing a plan of approach with processes, policy, and emerging technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Understand technology solutions connecting business, technology, user, and customer requirements.
- Facilitate discussions to capture and document business requirements.
- Help program/project sponsors/stakeholders and management to prioritize the user journeys.
- Working closely with management to ensure requirements are evaluated, validated, add business value, and fit the need of competing business demands and priorities.
- Anticipate, identify, assess, and manage risks & options in accordance with policies, practices and statements, escalating risks & issues to the appropriate management level or committee, as necessary.
- Support the development of teams through research and analysis to define user stories and business processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
- Work with the management teams to seize and endorse the stories.
- Work closely with the team to validate implementation approach and ensure accuracy in solution design.
- Work with global business stakeholders to understand the commercial goals and drivers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Systems Analysis, Business, or equivalent related work experience.
- Has at least three years of relevant Events Industry work experience
- Ability to independently and collaboratively identify, analyze, and construct feasible and effective resolution plans for system issues.
- Possesses strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Aptitude to review and process sensitive material with complete confidentiality.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in M365 (Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Ability to connect business, technology, and user requirements to create technology solutions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of multiple framework methodologies and adapt accordingly.
- Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing technology and then use this technical knowledge to apply it to business needs.
- Excellent soft skills: Must demonstrate strong business acumen, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders quickly

The salary for this role is 60-70k per year
