About the Position
We are looking for Event Security Report Writers to document and respond to all incidents (e.g., building damage, injury/illness, criminal activity, code of conduct violations, etc.) occurring at Chase Center and Thrive City. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering the facts (who, what where, when, and how) of every incident, including the personal information of all parties involved. You will also be expected to train in Command Center Dispatch (i.e., call logging, answering questions, prioritizing calls, etc.). This position reports to the Manager, Security.

This is a part-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document identification, statements, descriptions, and other information related to incidents that take place during events
- Create detailed reports for Chase Center’s internal use on investigations
- Continuously roam the arena during events; use 2-way radio system to communicate with key staff; respond to incident calls
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with others in person, over the radio, phone, and via Department’s software platform
- Under the direction of the Security Manager, establish a safe and inclusive environment for staff and guests
- Handle complaints and disturbances with staff and guests while providing excellent customer service
- When working Command Center - log each call, provide answers to questions by retrieving information from all necessary departments, and appropriately prioritize each call or request
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up 30 lbs.
- Capable of navigating large event venues and comfortability with large crowds and navigating through crowds quickly as needed
- Ability to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in the arena throughout the duration of the shift, sometimes in low light or concert settings
Required Experience & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience within a report writer or customer service role
- Strong communication skills; proficiency in documentation, data entry, and reporting
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to lead event personnel and emergency personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to use a telephone, two-way radios, VenueAware Software applications, and text messages to receive and send calls
- Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
Time Commitment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
