Job Description
- Manage event software system
- Contact the Suffolk University community to clarify event requirements
- Communicate with other departments for event needs (Media services, catering, custodial, conferences, events, etc.)
- Provide excellent service and communication to the client and employees
- Perform quality checks and inspections on event spaces
- Pre-event walk throughs of setups and breakdowns with event staff
- Maintain orderly event reports, collect feedback, etc.
- Attend weekly event and staff meetings
- Assist event hosts with creating floor plans, diagrams, etc.
- General data entry duties, office administration such as answering phone calls, emails, filing, copying, etc. when needed
- Greet and help walk-in visitors in a professional manner
- Handle other duties assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 3 years office administration experience or similar
- High energy level and enthusiasm
- Proficient in Microsoft office and EXCEL
- Familiarity with service ticket or work order systems
- Familiarity with School Dude work order systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines; self-directed
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to multi-task
