Your Job:
 
The Event and Communication Specialist participates to the brand's development and is responsible for supporting the overall Italian marketing strategy. As a critical member of the marketing team, (s)he develops and executes the Brooks events partnerships and the connected activation plans.
(S)he is responsible of development and execution of the EMEA media plan to the Italian market by adopting local content and managing Italian social media channels. (S)he manages the relationship with bloggers, influencers, athletes, ambassadors with the objective to develop the brand awareness.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Events & partnerships’:
  • Development and execution of the Brooks events in the Italian region.
  • Planning and execution of Brooks events in Italy ensuring on-time and in budget execution by taking into account all other marketing and communication areas (PR, digital, advertising, sponsorships and partnerships)
  • Monitoring success of executed events against objectives, budgets and KPI's

  • 2) Communication: Social media & PR/Influencers
  • Prepare local seasonal communication plan in accordance with EMEA communication strategy and under a guidance of the Italy Marketing Manager.
  • Self-reliant development, adaptation and implementation of digital marketing, PR and social media activities in accordance with the Global and EMEA marketing strategy.
  • Development of the social media strategy and active management of the relevant channels: responsibility for communication agencies, topics, production and adaptation of content, development of posts, support for and interaction with the community, etc.
  • Forward-looking planning and development of the digital and PR agenda to ensure a continuous presence and awareness of the Brooks brand; development of digital marketing as driving force for campaign execution.
  • Liaising and give direction to EMEA Graphic department to create the digital assets, and branding required for the specific Italian communication.
  • Lead and manage the Influencer program and find out new talents.
  • Working together with the EMEA E-Commerce Team for the effective integration of digital campaigns and SEO programs.
  • Managing PR Agency in order to reach PR KPI's in accordance with Italian/EMEA Guideline.
  • Working with and further developing the Brooks blogger community and other influencers
  • Development and implementation of KPIs for social media and digital marketing in cooperation with the Italian IEMEA Leadership Team; regular updates, presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to forecast and track budget related to event partnerships and activations and sports marketing events.   
  • Collect ideas and contribute to key initiatives that help bring event concepts to life
  • Other responsibilities as required.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.   
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferred in communications and events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian, strong English communication skills. Any other language is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
  • Excellent computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Ppt, Photoshop, social channels (IG, FB, YouTube, TikTok)
  • Experience with marketing & communications mix and executing PR strategies; digital campaigns; and events.
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another
  • Understanding of budget management.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization within Italy and EMEA.
  • Flexibility to work on own initiative or within team and cross-functional framework.
  • PR and proactive approach and mindset.
  • Strong ability to positively deal with adverse situations.
  • Creativity and innovation regarding new marketing initiatives for events and influencers programs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at a time. 
  • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments' operations and/or morale; "connecting the dots.
