We're seeking a dedicated Estates Assistant to undertake a variety of tasks, including general maintenance, electrical work, caretaking, and DIY projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our facilities provide a clean, comfortable, and secure environment for both our staff and visitors. By presenting our HQ estate in Slinfold, you'll help showcase AJW as an environment in which staff are proud to attend, and customers welcomed to be able to see what we are, who we are, and the quality that is contained within its walls.
Responsibilities:
Property & Facilities Maintenance Assist in the day-to-day operations of the AJW’s buildings and grounds, ensuring they are safe, functional, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance: Assist the estates director & estates manager oversee all maintenance tasks relating to all estates. Hard & Soft Services.
- Helpdesk: Assist maintain all helpdesk enquires with a prompt response & course of action (emails, JIRA, internal worklist)
- Monitoring: Daily & weekly site checks all of estate operations. Carry out preventative maintenance checks and log as required.
- Procurement: Assist estates team procure contracts by facilitating site surveys, providing documented information. Liaising with indirect procurement.
- Health & Safety: Work closely with the Estates team & H&S Manager on all H&S related matters
- Projects: Assist Estates manager with large projects / tasks as required
- Event Management: Assist with onsite Party/Entertainment set up/breakdown.
- Reception: Provide cover at the reception desk, as required.
- Emergency Support: To provide Emergency 24/7 call out attendance to estate maintenance requirements.
