ERP Project Manager - Global Consulting Delivery

The Global Consulting Delivery (GCD) organization of IFS is on the lookout for a dynamic and open-minded individual to join as a project manager with the primary focus of successful and professional delivery of the client solution in line with the IFS implementation methodology, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

A Project Manager will manage and deliver multiple critical customer programs/projects that would be considered of high complexity, value and risk within agreed time, cost and quality parameters and delivering agreed business benefits.

This is being achieved by developing and maintaining effective working relationships with programs/project sponsors and other key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure full commitment and support for the success of the project. The projects are in an international environment, working in shift basis mode and travelling could be required depending on the country of origin of the customer.

An IFS Project Manager is acting on behalf of IFS as a focal point of expertise to ensure the value realization to the customer and revenue generation to IFS. Key to this is a firm understanding of project management in general (mandatory) and the IFS methodologies in particular (desirable), highlighting the ability to gain trust from both the customer and the IFS teams. The project manager enjoys the challenge of being the key driver, decision maker, engager and motivator in projects, while consistently having control of both short and long terms goals along with set KPI’s.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Following include but are not limited to.

  • Delivering value to IFS customers while managing scope, budget, timeline, and risks.
  • Able to set and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders from multiple nationalities and cultural backgrounds while being comfortable with working in multiple time zones.
  • Makes timely decisions based on facts, circumstances, needs and governing the project without compromising commercial and contractual terms.
  • Effectively conveys information to all key stakeholders in both written and verbal formats by preparing and delivering presentations, facilitating successful meetings.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan, lead, manage and deliver small to medium projects or major streams of work within larger programs by effectively maintaining programme control, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial and resource planning processes as per IFS implementation methodology.
  • Able to effectively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle by designing, implementing, and operating risk & change management processes with justifications on the financial and programme impact.
  • Preparation of monthly invoices, forecasting and budgeting reports, fulfilling, and managing project resource demands and maintenance of project plan and project schedules in the internal IFS systems.
  • Builds relationships within and outside the project team, motivates and inspires the team members by delegating responsibilities appropriately. Manages and resolves conflicts by demonstrating strong organizational skills and establishing project governance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution and influencing skills taking account of diversity and inclusivity.

Essentials

  • Academic background with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of Information Technology or Business Management.
  • Advanced academic qualification (Masters) or professional qualification (PMP or PRINCE 2) in project management is preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in managing medium to large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects (Implementation/ Upgrade) in a similar (PM) capacity.
  • In depth understanding of the ERP Implementation Life-Cycle and waterfall model.
  • Advanced proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in delivering IFS projects in a relevant industry setting (Aerospace & Defense, Energy, Utilities & Resources, Construction & Engineering, Manufacturing, Service Industries, Telco) preferably in a similar or related role.
  • Understanding of IFS software and service offerings.
