Position Summary:

Our Milhouse Finance & Accounting team is seeking an ERP Administrator to support our rapidly growing organization in our Chicago office location. This position will support and directly report to the Vice President of Finance. To perform in this position successfully, the ideal candidate will be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Duties/Responsibilities: "what you will do:"

  • Supervises the maintenance and monitoring of application security, verification of application integrity, and provides guidance for codifying system procedures for application functions.
  • Conducts testing of systems and performs system upgrades.
  • Evaluates new or under-used functionality and assists with defining functional specifications for new customizations.
  • Analyze /create / update workflows as needed.
  • Coordinates and liaises with the Corporate Controller on projects pertaining to Deltek applications and functions, including system upgrades, tax updates, year-end processing support and implementation of customizations.
  • Conducts periodic audits to ensure systems data integrity.
  • Works independently to research and resolve system issues.
  • Assists on various special projects as assigned.
  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
  • Work directly with managers and system users to deliver company goals.
  • Act as subject matter expert and functional analyst across multiple companies.
  • Create user accounts and adjust application access within role security for existing users based on direction of VP of Finance.
  • Serve as company's representative to Deltek and other related consultants.
  • Leading any system/process re-design.
  • Create and implement best practices across functional groups.

Required Skills & Abilities: "What we are looking for:"

  • Advanced knowledge of project controls/project accounting concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel with advanced Excel skills (v-look ups, pivot tables).
  • Exposure to Power Bi.
  • In depth understanding of navigating on the Deltek Support site.
  • A motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Detailed understanding of Deltek Vantagepoint’s capabilities, especially with respect to: accounting, reporting, system utilities, system configuration settings, resource planning, client relationship management and dashboards.
  • Experience manipulating data for imports and building reports.
  • Proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or similar project accounting software required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Perform a variety of system testing functions.

Education/Experience: "Your background:"

  •  Bachelor’s degree in the business field or an equivalent in education and experience required.
  • At least 3 years in accounting systems management, preferably Deltek Vantagepoint.
