Our Sun Prairie, WI location is seeking a Environment, Safety, Security and Health (ESH) Manager to join our team.

THE POSITION
- Creates methods and devices used in the prevention, control, and correction of environmental hazards, working closely with environmental engineers and scientists.
- Uses principles and theories of science and engineering to solve technical problems.
- Inspects and keeps equipment affecting air pollution and recycling maintained.
- Conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data for use by environmental, engineering, and scientific personnel in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil, utilizing knowledge of agriculture, chemistry, meteorology, and principles of applied technologies.
- Work is more limited in scope and more practically oriented than that of scientists and engineers.
- Manage and coordinate all ESH activities for the plant
- Align and transform corporate and divisional ESH strategy into action plans and ensure implementation
- Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)
- Weighs the costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success, in making a decision
- Demonstrated proactive collaboration with other goups and locations. Expert level of understanding of all products, relevant processes and tools within target function. Proven experience in working with people with different cultural background.
- Ensure the achievement of ESH targets according to internal and external customer expectations
- Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures
- Live and promote the ESH principles and methods (e.g. advise Plant Management on al ESH aspects)
- Initiate and control investments for ESH equipment (e.g. training materials, external trainings, etc.)
- Interface to segment, BU or division functions in order to gather local ESH requirements and demands and other feedback
- Participate in and/or steer global or local ESH related and cross-functional projects
- Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development and coaching
- Represent plant at negotiations with responsible authorities concerning ESH issues
- Manage fire brigade (where applicable) as well as plan and implement fire prevention measures according to standards
- Plan and implement occupational safety (e.g. safety briefings, legal obligations, hazardous substances management) according to standards
- Plan and implement plant security (e.g. external security service) and information security according to standards
- Plan and implement environmental protection (e.g. legal obligations regarding hazardous substances management, waste management, emissions and risk control and management, etc.) according to standards
- Plan and implement medical services (e.g. plant medical officer, workplace ergonomics, industrial hygiene management, etc.) as well as occupational health management according to standards
- Support energy management (e.g. contribute to plant energy reduction roadmap, initiate energy reduction projects, report eKPIs, etc.) according to standards in close alignment with FM function
- Coordinate safety inspection procedures for new plant installations prior to their start-up
- Plan and conduct environmental and safety audits and compliance measures according to standards (i.e. CT management system, SH Corporate)
- Implement external (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and internal (e.g. ESH management manual, tools, KPIs) ESH standards and legal requirements and provide feedback and input for further development of standards.

Basic Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelors Degree and Minimum 7 years relevant experience OR Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Functional knowledge of occupational safety and environmental protection
- 3 or more years of experience in industrial and/or manufacturing production processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and projects, communicate Safety and Environmental information to employees. Setting and reviewing standards for safety equipment. Proven accident investigation experience.
- Advanced level of professional expertise. Ability to develop solutions that others can use to improve work.
- Experience with Office 365
- Willingness to attend 2nd or 3rd shift to meet and train employees on occasion

Preferred Qualification
- Master's Degree
- 10 year's of relevant experience
- Proficient multiple languages
- Cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, purchasing or CBS preferred
- CSP, OHST, CIH or equivalent certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, climb stairs and work in any type environment. Work any hours or shifts that is required to accomplish job.
