Environmental Monitoring Specialist 1st Shift (Tues-Sat)

Full-Time
  • Environmental monitoring of classified areas including incubation of samples, reading of results, reporting, and approving data. Environmental monitoring activities include but are not limited to contact plates, settle plates, viable/non-viable counts, microbial ID testing, and operator monitoring.
  • Train staff on environmental monitoring procedures
  • Act as a technical resource for junior team members
  • General laboratory operations (ordering supplies, preparing buffers/mobile phase/culture media, operating laboratory equipment, participation in quality and safety assessments, sample receipt, notebook data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices)
  • Trending of data for quarterly reports and investigating EM excursions including OOS results.
  • General laboratory maintenance (user-accessible equipment, lab organization, and cleanliness)
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, engineering, or other related degree concentration,
  • Two years of directly relevant experience with environmental monitoring in a clean room environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

  • 60 minute virtual interview the Hiring Manager 

The position is full-time, Tuesday-Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, requiring schedule flexibility and overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Branchburg, NJ are encouraged to apply.
