We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Engineer to our dynamic team in Eugene, Oregon.

Our uniquely broad menu of engineering and environmental services provides our professionals with the opportunity to collaborate on diverse project teams. Our team of engineers work on a variety of technical projects and environmental programs for clients in our public, private, and industrial sectors. This position is well-suited for a talented individual who is interested in becoming a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects, including stormwater and wastewater compliance and system design, solid waste facility operations and monitoring programs, and soil and groundwater remediation. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with a well-established consulting firm with a diverse set of clients with challenging business needs.

$33-44 hourly, full time, with benefits, flexible schedule with a mix of in-office and field work

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • 0-3 years of relevant environmental experience
  • Good critical thinking, data evaluation, and organizational skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in conducting and implementing environmental subsurface investigations.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Field collection of environmental samples (air, water, stormwater, soil)
  • Routine regulatory reporting related to stormwater, wastewater, solid/hazardous waste, and air permit compliance
  • Preparing environmental management plans related to stormwater pollution prevention, spill prevention and solid waste operations
  • Inspection and auditing for environmental compliance
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for a variety of environmental engineering projects
  • Assist with the evaluation and permitting of environmental projects
  • Travel to project sites within Oregon required
  • Represent PBS in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
