CSA is looking for a Systems Administrator who specializes in monitoring and maintaining the enterprise security posture with a solid background in patching, security configuration compliance, and vulnerability scanning who regularly exercises discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
- As a systems administrator on our team, you’ll perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems and document system events to ensure continuous functionality for a hardened state.
- You’ll coordinate with all applicable application owners, program managers, and database administrators to initiate corrective actions and help to perform some of the testing of new items, including Group Policies, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Computer Task Orders (CTOs) and security updates.
- You’ll help customers to overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management, using tools to automate continuous scanning and highlight misconfigurations as they arise.
- Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network and ensure security posture is maintained.
- Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning and system state.
- This is an opportunity to gain experience in compliance remediation and scanning to ensure applications and system resources are compliant with DoD hardening.
What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
- Security + Certification OR Bachelor's Degree approved by ABET/CAE Accredited Programs.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in configuring systems and hardware for compliance standards.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with interpreting technical assessments and communicating security issues to program leadership.
- Experienced with STIGS and ACAS or MECM.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with Cybersecurity assessments using DoD hardening, RMF controls, CIS Benchmarks, and automated solutions.
- Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, including Navy systems.
- Experience with scripting, including PowerShell.
- Experience with Symantec Management Platform: Altiris, ACAS, McAfee Host-Based Security System (HBSS), and Group Policies.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Microsoft Certifications.
- Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Computing Environment Certification for designated Operating Systems.
- Bachelor's degree.
