Our technical services master and prepare this content in all distribution products including digital cinema, digital media and physical media (Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD).

To date, we serviced thousands of titles for iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Movies Anywhere and others. We also authored thousands of Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD discs. Our research and development team works on cutting-edge technologies such as 4K, high dynamic range (Dolby Vision, HDR10+), artificial intelligence and machine learning, software automation and our proprietary end-to-end operating platform branded as pHelix.

About the job:

Candidates will be trained in advanced transcription techniques, using proprietary Pixelogic software, to create subtitles and dubbing scripts for use in the localization industry.

Shifts:

We are hiring for English Editors!!!

  • Tuesday-Saturday & Sunday-Thursday (5X8 hour shifts)

- Day shift/ Swing shift/Night shift

  • Wednesday-Saturday & Sunday-Wednesday (4X10 hour shifts)

- Day shift/Swing shift/Night shift

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree desirable, preferably in English, linguistics and language study majors and/or Entertainment and Media.
  • Knowledge of professional scripting, subtitling, and audio software highly desirable but not a requirement - we will train you from the ground up!
  • Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office and using different software.
  • Excellent reading skills, spelling/vocabulary and grammar.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while focusing on a high amount of attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with changing priorities.

Testing process

All candidates will be required to complete an international industry standard transcription test and proofing test. The tests are designed to highlight your English grammar, spelling, punctuation and listening skills. They are also designed to showcase your feel for the type of tasks required for the position. The purpose of the test is not to test your knowledge of the software or technical specifications of subtitling. It is a prerequisite for consideration.

Training

Successful editors will be given training by our experienced team and approved by a US specialist before beginning work on live projects. The training and initial experience portion will be completed during a paid internship period. Once we have established the groundwork, permanent positions will be made available to all editors able to meet the performance requirements.

Training takes roughly 8 weeks, with a further 4-8 weeks of live work before being considered fully trained.

Requirements

  • Responsible for creation of English closed captions, SHD, English templates, Transcriptions and dialogue list scripts.
  • Annotate key English phrases to high quality of our translation products.
  • Maintain quality standards for accuracy and speed.
  • Must be punctual, dependable and flexible, and possess a team attitude and willingness to adapt to last-minute changes to programming and industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.
