We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Identifies and diagnoses issues with manufacturing equipment and processes.

Develops and implements effective solutions to resolve technical problems.
- Performs root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Assists in the design and implementation of process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

Conducts regular inspections and upkeep of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborates with production teams to develop and refine manufacturing procedures, processes, and cultures.
- Works closely with engineers, operators, and other team members to address and resolve production challenges.
- Communicates effectively with team members to share insights and technical information.

Provides technical support and training to operators and other staff as needed.
- Maintains accurate records of document changes, work instructions, tool and equipment repairs, process changes, and quality assurance documentation.
- Prepares and presents reports on operational performance, manufacturing downtime, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Contacts vendors to source components and request quotations per engineering specifications.
- Assists in the development and execution of new production introductions, engineering changes, and process changes.
- Contributes to the evaluation and selection of new technologies and equipment.
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
- Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma required.
- Post secondary degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering technology, or related field strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience supporting an Engineering department or similar.
- Hands on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tools, and safety standards
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, both design and interpretation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and varied projects.
- Must possess strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Must possess strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with all employee levels.
