AYANA Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill the role of Engineering Kitchen & Laundry at our AYANA Komodo property. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the kitchen and laundry facilities in compliance with all industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on all kitchen and laundry equipment, including but not limited to refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and washing machines.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen and laundry supplies, and order necessary items in a timely manner.
- Manage and train a team of kitchen and laundry staff to ensure a high level of service and employee satisfaction.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- liaise regularly with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of operations and minimize disruptions.
- Work closely with the management team to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
