About the role
The Engineering Manager is a technology leadership role and focuses on
people, delivery, and technology outcomes. You will lead and grow robust technology
talent and teams, provide exceptional partner management and be accountable for
building, delivering, and maintaining our products or internal systems & services.
As a technology leader, you are accountable for the overall technical alignment & health
of the product or services you deliver and maintain thereafter, as well as the growth,
capability, and productivity of an engineering team. Engineering Managers are active
thought and people leaders, driving continuous improvement as well as customer and
commercial outcomes. You operate what you ship, making it critical that as a technology
leader you advocate for the right technical solutions that balance time to market with
long term maintainability, scalability, and security.
About the team
The Jobstream team is a distributed team across Melbourne and Sydney with 5 Engineers at varying levels of seniority from Staff to mid level engineers. It is predominantly a back end team responsible for developing Jora's world class crawling and aggregation technology.
With plenty of exciting opportunities in the space, including experimentation with the latest internal and external AI models, Jobstream is on the critical path to Jora's success.

Responsibilities
This role is broad, but remains close to technology, people and product. You’ll directly line manage employees and eventually people managers.
You will lead a tight-knit group of dedicated and passionate people who truly believe in transparency, collaboration, learning, team cohesion, moving quickly and having some fun as we strengthen the team and our products.
