We are a scale-up company with a tried and tested product that has won some of the most prestigious companies in the world as customers, including Maersk, Carlsberg and Bosch.

The role:

As an Engineering Manager at Onomondo, you have a pivotal role in managing and growing Engineers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong empathy to drive people to excel.

You will be joining our Core Network Squad with four other engineers. This squad has the responsibilities of our core offering, the telco related elements in our tech stack.

Your responsibility will be to bring guidance, mentorship, and support to help the team grow both technically and professionally, while also contributing as an individual bringing knowledge and coding skills to the equation.

Key responsibilities:

  • People Management: Mentor and coach the team of engineers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals and maximize their potential.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that values collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement, while identifying skill gaps and development opportunities within the engineers.
  • Contribution to Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and contribute to development tasks as needed, leveraging technical expertise to support the engineers.
  • Stay informed: Keep yourself up-to-date about emerging technologies and trends in software development and telecom, and incorporate relevant advancements into development processes and practices.
  • Team morale: guide the team by setting the right focus and direction; make sure that everyone feels welcomed and can be their best selves.

What you've probably been up to lately:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a focus on people management and team development.
  • Experience working in the Telecom space.
  • Technical understanding of communication protocols and network architecture.
