About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager who is technically robust and eager to take on the challenge of leading a team. This role is perfect for a seasoned technical lead ready to step into a managerial role, even if formal people management experience is limited. You'll be at the forefront of shaping strategies, ensuring quality, and driving the architectural vision of the team.

What you will do

  • Architecture and Design: Lead the system architecture, conduct design reviews, and define the long-term roadmap to ensure scalability and resilience. 
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide engineers, while being hands-on in managing projects, driving sprints, and setting OKRs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and business teams to innovate and deliver new products.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate team growth.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor the progress of various projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Reporting: Regularly update stakeholders on project status through meetings and reports.

What you will need

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in the industry, with a proven track record in building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of distributed systems, with experience in B2C products and large-scale systems.
  • Leadership Potential: At least 6 months of experience in managing/leading software development teams direclty or indirectly.
  • Execution Skills: Proficient in driving sprints, setting and managing OKRs, and ensuring project delivery.
