Engineering Manager, Growth Monetization

Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, or Poland. Certain roles have specific location requirements to facilitate collaboration at a particular Grammarly hub.

All roles have an in-person component: Conditions permitting, teams meet 2–4 weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly’s hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków. This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust and unlocks creativity.

Grammarly team members in this role will collaborate in person 4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to different hubs. They are required to live within a commutable distance of their home hub of Berlin. Grammarly may provide relocation assistance.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Monetization team. In this role, you will lead a growing team responsible for connecting Grammarly users to Premium value. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, marketing, and data science, to ensure Free users understand and appreciate Premium.  

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Growth Monetization team. This role will manage and build on a team of engineers that crafts functionality for the suite of user-facing features across Grammarly’s portfolio of product offerings. The ideal candidate will take a metrics-driven approach to quality and feature prioritization, and they’ll improve team throughput by identifying and solving existing processes and technical challenges.

Grammarly’s engineers and researchers have the freedom to innovate and uncover breakthroughs—and, in turn, influence our product roadmap. Your impact

As an Engineering Manager at Monetization, your work will be highly impactful and visible. You will help shape how users evaluate and purchase our Premium offering. 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of engineers who will contribute directly to user and revenue growth by working on our monetization features.
  • Drive business impact by collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and designers via significant bet initiatives, iterative experimentation, and technical investments.
  • Hire, develop, and manage engineers by fostering a psychological safety, diversity, and inclusion culture. The role is essential in creating a highly productive, healthy, and enjoyable working environment for the team.
  • Be a sounding board for Growth strategy and tactics to create sustainable growth for the organization.
